Paulo explains how to grow Oregano but goes further into detail about the different aromas that oreganos have from different parts of Europe, the Mediterranean and Asia. Paulo talks about the pungent oregano from a particular part of Cyprus the north western village of Pomas where rare and endemic oregano from Cyprus, Oreganum Cordifolium grows. This is the Oregano he remembers when he was younger on his visits to Cyprus and is the jewel in the crown of local Cypriot cooking. Paulo has managed to germinate some local village oregano and is not sure if it is indeed Cordifolium or a mixture of Greek, Turkish and Middle Eastern Oregano and Cordifolium. For more information:
